Meet the first members our Tony Williams Ballet Company joining the Urban Nutcracker:

Colleen Edwards- Snow Queen, Marzipan, Flowers, Chinese, Snow &Swing

Colleen Edwards

Colleen Edwards began her training in Boulder, Colorado with the Boulder Ballet

Academy. She performed with Boulder Ballet in such works as, Cinderella, Sleeping

Beauty, Romeo and Juliet, and The Nutcracker, performing many soloist roles. She

trained with Jon Prinz and Lucia Martin as well as Boulder Ballet founder Barbara

Demaree. Colleen also performed with Lemon Sponge Cake Contemporary Ballet as a

founding junior company member. Colleen attended Boston Ballet and Perry Mansfield

performing arts camp for multiple summers with world renowned teachers from Boston

Ballet, Julliard and Joffrey Ballet as well as Jessica Lang. At The Boston Conservatory

she performed in repertory works such as, Missa Brevis, a soloist in Dark Elegies, and

Les Sylphide. In her professional career Colleen has performed and taught around the

country including as a soloist with the Baton Rouge Ballet Theater in Nutcracker: Tale

from the Bayou, and as the Winter Fairy in Cinderella. Ms. Edwards has presented

many choreographic pieces on main stages around the country, as well as two full-length

ballets she created and choreographed. Colleen holds her B.F.A in Dance from The

Boston Conservatory. Colleen spent two years as a Company member with Urbanity

Contemporary Dance Company of Boston and performed in their Story of Stuff and at

Jacob’s Pillow. Ms. Edwards spent four season’s as a Company member with Portland

Ballet in Maine. She performed roles such as the Keirie role in The Armed Man, and a

Detective in Jack the Ripper, and as the comical Helena in A Midsummer Night’s
